Bending

  • Unique precision thanks to 3-point bending technology.

  • Perfect bending angle thanks to integrated Process Control (PC) and automatic Press Reference (PR) control.

  • Striking increases in productivity and high-precision bending through the use of robot cells.

  • Bystronics offers a tailor-made solution to every requirement.

It can be emphatically stated that Bystronic offers on of the most extensive ranges of pressbrakes on the market. Depending on the demands that the individual customer places on his bending process and its results. Bystronic's portfolio provides a choice that covers the full band-width, from a basic to a high-end solution.

Bystronic pressbrakes employ either 3-point bending for repeatable absolute accuracy (Hammerle) or air bending (Beyeler/AFM) and are characterized by their broad field of applications. With the Beyeler  PR family of pressbrakes, the innovative and prizewinning Integrated Process Control (IPC) technology ensures automatic measurement of the sheet springback and angle correction and hence the highest precision of the bending results.

The spectrum of the pressing forces of the Bystronic machines ranges from a minimum of 66 US tons and extends to the point where physics and mechanics define the limits. The length of the bend can also be varied over a broad range and can be extended well beyond 33 feet. Hence special applications can also be handled easily. This is also facilitated through the synchronous tandem operation of two machines, without the need to sacrifice anything in terms of quality. This is yet another typical characteristics of the Bystronic pressbrakes that astonishes even the most demanding of users. In addition to the outstanding machine qualities, the world's leading bending software of off-line programming, Bybendpart, is also available to the customer.

Models Offered:
  • 3 point bending:
    •  Hammerle: With 3-point bending the points of contact are all on the same side of the material. The angle is determined by the height adjustment in the bottom tool.
  • Airbending:
    •   Beyeler PR & AFM EP: With air bending the points of contact are on both sides of the material. The angle is determined by the depth of entry of the tool into the die plate.
